An update on the office...

For the last two weeks, I've lamented about summer makeup essentials and swimsuits under $50, so let's get back to designing things… Three weeks ago, I met with Colleen, my designer at The Container Store, for a video chat, and we waxed poetic about every storage and organization problem I have with my office and the best way to combine my style with everything TVS offers. And after several emails and revisions, I'm excited to share the plans.

Wall F (above) will be the space's workhorse, holding most of my tools on these utility peg boards and my office essentials in wall-mounted drawers. Colleen added a mobile Elfa cart on the far right so I could quickly ferry supplies around the apartment during projects. We left space in front of the window for a sit/stand desk - I like the Adjustable Standing Desk from Branch Furniture, but I was hoping for something on casters, just in case I need to move things around… 

Initially, I wanted to try the not-so-popular white brackets with walnut shelving set up, but after seeing Liz Mundle’s NYC apartment, I changed my mind to birch! These will be mainly for decor and hidden storage with decorative bins. The spot in the middle is for the Shelter daybed from West Elm that I plan to order sometime in the future… 

Of course, before The Container Store team can install it, I must select a paint color… So many choices, so little time!
