My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration

To house the ridiculous amounts of clothes and shoes I refuse to give away; I'm building a Pax Wardrobe as a part of my bedroom makeover. I’ve been playing around with the the design your own Pax tool to decide what the inside will look like, but for the outside, I’m looking to my fellow creators for inspiration… Here are four of my favorite builds that feature IKEA hacks.

Chris Loves Julia's Primary Bedroom

My world stopped when this closet was revealed in 2020. I distinctly remember sharing these photos with everyone because they were so beautiful. I love the underpinned lighting on the shoe rack and the large walk-through oval mirror. 

@ThisHouse5000’s Bedroom Wardrobe

My favorite Canadian creator trimmed out and painted her Pax wardrobe using White Dawn by Benjamin Moore, and I'm obsessed! From the saved highlight on Elena's page, this part of the DIY looks like a relatively simple upgrade that I will be copying. 

Lone Fox’s Entryway Built-Ins

Drew used Billy bookcases for these DIY built-ins, but I'm more focused on the renter-friendly lighting hack he used to add sconces. Although I have yet to source them, I want to do a similar look above my Pax unit. 

Jenee Naylor’s Pax Dressing Room

When thinking about how to lay out the inside of my Pax wardrobe, Jenne' Naylor's closet was my inspiration, particularly for the shelves and shoe storage.
