Got A Tiny Apartment Kitchen? You’re Gonna Want A Mobile Kitchen Island
THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS
When people say to take your time decorating a new apartment, it's not just because you need to let your bank account replenish after shelling out thousands for first, last, and security deposit. It's also because you don't know what your space will require furniture-wise until you've lived there for a bit. Early on, I thought a kitchen island was a waste because I'm not a huge cook, but after a few months, I've done a complete 180*.
I got tired of looking at my cluttered countertop and purchased a $140 kitchen cart from The Container Store, and it's been such a game changer. This cart can fold up to 6" when not in use, has casters making moving it around easy, and two shelves to hold additional appliances. Right now, I've tucked the wood-top island across from the sink and placed my Aarke sparkling water maker and my electric tea kettle, giving more space on the actual countertop.
Of course, I can't come on here and rave about my latest home favorite without sharing a bunch of other options for those of different styles and budgets. Check out the links below for 17 kitchen carts & islands that are perfect for small-space living.
