My 10-Minute Summer Makeup Routine

Let’s take a break from all the storage and organization talks and get into something that really matters… my summer makeup routine! Here’s what I’m currently using to keep my face looking beautiful in 10 minutes or less!
My Everyday Face Makeup
So let’s start off with my base makeup…
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen - $22
This is the best sunscreen for under makeup - it’s positively sheer and doesn’t leave a white cast at all!
Milk Makeup Hydrog Grip Gripping Primer - $38
Picked up a tiny sample of this before a trip to Miami and it held my makeup in place nicely.
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder in Medium Deep - $43
I bought this because Jackie Aina said so… And Jackie Aina is never wrong about setting powders that are brown girl friendly.
LA Girl Orange Color Corrector - $4.99
Since I don’t usually wear full coverage foundation, I even out my skin tone with a light layer of a color corrector. At $5, you can’t beat this one.
Merit Minimalist Complexion Stick - $38
Technically, this isn’t a foundation or a concealer… It’s kinda both at the same time and that’s why I like it. It’s buildable, yet creamy, perfect on a hot summer day.
LA Girl Concealer in Fawn - $4.99
When I want that super bright undereye, I always pick up this concealer. It’s been in the rotation since college and I’ll never give her up!

Merit Flush Cruelty-Free Blush Balm - $30
Sometimes you just want a little flush to liven up the cheeks (lips or eyes) and I love this product. I’ve been using the same tube for well over a year, and it’s still going.
Maybelline Lasting Fix Make-Up Setting Spray - $10.20
I have oily skin and sweat a lot, so I need something to lock in my beat. I use it between layers just to ensure everything is perfectly blended too.

This pencil is tiny, creating little hairs to make your brow really pop and look real.
Merit Volumizing Brow Pomade in Brown - $24
I had the darkest shade of this pomade in my kit for a while but found it can be a bit too severe for everyday makeup, thus I welcomed a new shade and it’s perfect.
NYX Professional Makeup Control Freak Brow Gel in Clear - $6.49
I’ve tried the expensive ones and non can compete with these ones! My brows stay in place but don’t feel crunchy.

Sephora Waterproof Eyeliner - $14
Perfecting winged liners is all about trial and error, but always go for something waterproof.
Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara - $5.98
This one is my tried and true favorite! I will always keep a tube but recently started working this mascara into my routine after the TikTok drama piqued my interest.

Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lip Gloss - $7
These are definitely a dupe for the Fenty Beauty glosses. My favorite colors are Opal and Bronze and they look great with this Rich Brown liner from Huda Beauty.
