Cozy Studio Apartment Bathroom Reveal
My vision for my bathroom was clear from the beginning. I wanted it to be cozy, sultry, and beautiful.
‘Sultry’ is not a word commonly used to describe bathrooms, but I’m not a normal girl and this isn’t a normal rental bathroom. This is the bathroom of a DIY’er who painted her kitchen pink & 2/3 of her studio apartment Black (including the ceiling). Keep reading to see how I put this moody space together.

I started with peel and stick wallpaper, of course! The Dune Leaping Cheetah paper from WallPops (#gifted), was in heavy competition with this and this but won me over after a few weeks of living with the samples. I added the Derby sconce from Luxury Bath For Less (#gifted), which adds the sexy glow, and this $40 faucet from Home Depot to rid myself of the basic faucet that plagues most rental bathrooms.
QUICK TIP: always go for the lever handles. They’re much easier to turn on & off when the face is covered in $50 facial cleanser.
There wasn’t much I could do about the medicine cabinet, so I covered the silver border with electrical tape (only $5) until I can come up with a better way to disguise the ugly. The shelf over the toilet was a crucial styling moment. I wanted my astrology match sticks, Leo candle & vintage jewelry box to have a beautiful place to perch, so I went these brass brackets.
I added in a vintage 3-tier rattan shelf, inherited from my grandma, and filled it with decorative baskets (I.e. toilet paper holder), a vintage decanter (sexy mouthwash bottle), and a marble tissue holder that I “borrowed” from my old job! The towels and bath mats are from the H&M Home!
I love this space and can’t wait to light some candles and enjoy a relaxing bath.
Oh, if you think I’m done with this space, you would be wrong, lol! Check back in a few months when things get even moodier.
Xoxo,
Imani
