6 Handy Paint Products You Need In Your DIY Kit!

There are a lot of DIY projects I want to accomplish over the next few months. The most labor-intensive project was the entryway makeover, where I painted over the Black and polka-dotted walls with Fervent Brass by Sherwin Williams. It's an unusual color, I'll admit, but ever since I saw this insane London rental, I've been obsessed with having yellow-green walls. Now that I’m packing up my paint brushes, I can say, without a doubt, this color looks incredible.
Behind every gorgeous before and after pic is a DIYer with the tools to do the job right! I’ve spent years trying different products only to find out they don’t work for me, but, I’m pretty sure, I’ve built the perfect painting toolkit and I want to share it with you so your next DIY project goes off without a hitch.

Handy Paint Pail - $9.97
The paint pail was the first Handy product I ever used, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It has an adjustable strap and a magnetic brush holder, which comes in handy (get it?😜) when I’m painting my ceilings.
Plastic Liners (6 Pack) - $4.78
The worst part about painting is the clean-up process, but as soon as I started investing in liners I don’t have that problem anymore. These are made out of 100% recycled plastic and you get six liners for $5!
1-Gal. Plastic Paint Tray - $12.85
This tray is everything! It has two handles on each end making it extra sturdy and a magnetic strip to hold your brush. Also, it can hold a gallon of paint, which is just… WOW!
Paint Covers Multipack - $13
I put this liner over my paint pail, and left it for four days. When I came back.. my paint & brush were still wet. Need I say more! These come in three sizes to fit every size container.
Tray Liner (3-Pack) - $4.97
These liners are a custom fit to the paint tray. I like them because I can easily switch between my primer color and the actual wall color. And, again using liners makes clean-up quick and easy.
1-Pt. Roller Cup - $3.58
This cup is perfect for smaller projects that still require a roller, like doors and trim because it can fit up to a 6" roller

Wooster Shortcut - $7
I never get cramps when I use this miniature brush! I keep 2-3 of these in my kit at all times.
Multi-Purpose Interior/Exterior Latex Primer - $40
This primer did the impossible - covered Black walls in one coat! I’ll be using this one from now on.
HBTower 3 Step Ladder - $60
Super sturdy, holds up to 500 lbs., and when folded it can fit in the small crack next to my fridge. It’s perfect for small space living.
Frogtape Multi-Surface -
Textured walls don’t stand a chance with this tape. I get a nice clean line every time.
Heavy Duty Canvas Drop Cloth - $32
Plastic drop cloths are slippery and not the most sustainable option. Get a canvas dropcloth you’ll keep for years.
